In the spring and fall, we also worked on my granddad's 40 acre farm. From planting to harvesting and preserving, we were involved from the time we could walk pretty much.
On the VERY rare occasions that we were inside for any reason, we played Uno, Monopoly, backgammon, LEGO, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, and pretty much any card game you could think of. | This is what my childhood was like. I was the only girl with 2 brothers and nine boy cousins. We llived on a farm outside town. I didn't care much for toys. I was obcessed with Little House on the Prairie though. We had an old delipadated barn I used to use as my Little House. I'd tie my horses up there and play all day in my own little imaginary world, and go off riding and playing with the animals on my own prairie adventures. (My dad used to get so mad at me for taming the cattle) The funniest thing to this story is around the corner was a curly headed blonde girl who looked and acted just like Nellie .
