How old is Trixie? I'm sorry..I must have missed that.

I would recommend having some pedialyte and a dropper or syringe and also a little chicken broth. The reason is because the first day or so after Mandie's spay, she wouldn't drink water on her own so I would give her water and some pedialyte with a dropper throughout the day. She also didn't want to eat but if I gave her some food by hand she would eat a piece or two. What really helped was drizzling just a little bit of broth over her kibble. She ate that right up and then it kind of kick started her into eating and drinking on her own.

One other thing, due to the meds or the pain or both, she became constipated. I would recommend having some mineral oil on hand just in case this happens with Trixie. You can put a little bit on her food and also a little on her bottom.
