I wanted to share this with you all, hope it makes you all smile as much as it does me.
I volunteer at Atlanta Pet Rescue, recently we were called upon to take in some little Yorkie babies who's Mom did not make it through the birth. At the time we had just taken in a little Doxie Mommy who's baby were not part of the rescue (not sure if they were adopted out or the status). Wendy, the Doxie Mom was still able to be a Mommy and accepted the little Yorkie babies as her own. I have not seen the babies or Wendy since they are at our Rehab facility but I am told that Wendy is the perfect Mommy to the Yorkie babies.
Rest assured you all once Wendy has weaned the babies she will be spayed and we will make sure she lives the rest of her life as it was meant to be, as a family member and nothing more.
