like people, some dogs are lactose intolerant, some are not. i, for instance am mildly lactose intolerant. i'm okay with 2%, 1% or skim milk so long as i have it with something else. whole milk or milk alone does funny things to my stomach.
i give my puppy a little bit of milk (like a tsp) with his kibbles sometimes to encourage him to eat. he's had no adverse side effects. |
