I know... I think walking away from a puppy in a pet store (even after you know what a puppy mill is) has to be one of the hardest things to do. But if you do buy the puppy the puppy mill breeders will keep on breeding puppies.

There are a lot of very dedicated people working to close the mills down.. you can find a lot of information on this site about some. I follow the documentary "breath" on my fb.. many on this site have dogs that were rescued from mills. We all have to know our resolve and fight in the ways we can one step at a time.

My daughter... the one who lives in chicago... almost bought a puppy from a pet store. I started texting her pictures of the "mother" dogs from mills and pictures of mills.. she walked out. Later she found her baby from a rescue. I am not saying only rescues... but at least not puppy mills/pet stores. SOME back yard breeders are just a few steps above a puppy mills also.
