Don't feel badly. Do you generally free feed? I do not feed my girls any extra calcium or puppy food until they give birth. Then they can have as much of the puppy food, wet or dry, and water, as they want. I just had 3 litters this weeks, and this has always worked in the past just as it worked now. My vet says if you give them the puppy food all through the pregnancy, you end up with a fat bitch and can make whelping more difficult. Hope that makes you feel better. |
