I agree that most dogs should probably get some sort of meat in their diet, but meat is actually very UNhealthy for my Miko, and that's why I do not feed it to him...
Protein's by-product is ammonia which is filtered through the liver and because of Miko's liver shunt, the ammonia affects his central nervous system and it goes into the bloodstream and that's what causes the seizures, and it would kill him.
I'm just throwing this out there so that you all know that sometimes, it is not possible for dogs to eat meat for health reasons, and they can still live Healthy, and very Energetic lives as long as you provide them with all the nutrients their bodies need
