Hypoglycemia is very real and scary. My first pup. Lola was brought home too early - 8-9 weeks. I didn't have a hypoglycemia episode with her but I DID have socialization issues. My Ruby was brought home just one day shy of 12 weeks. And she had a hypoglycemia episode. I almost lost her. She spent 3 days in the ER and my pet emergency savings account was wiped clean. I would highly recommend you ask the breeder to keep your little one until 12 weeks..emotionally I think its healthier for the dog. Also, I would read up on this website about hypoglycemia so you can be prepared if it happens. Your local vet should have nutrical or look on line. Its a godsend! If you can't find it having Caro syrup on hand could be beneficial. I would also recommend that you give your baby time to get used to its surroundings before you start bringing him/her to a ton of different places.
