Even though it ended 10 years later in divorce, it is still a good story. I met Mathew late one night in 1995. He had just gotten into town, visiting a friend. We bumped into each other, I was coming out, he was going in. The next day, we were both at the same party, we talked a bit. Two days later, I just so happened to go to the house that he was staying at with a friend of mine. We clicked. I did not know that he was only here on vacation for Mardi Gras. He canceled all of his plans for the rest of the trip and we spent everyday together, I was 17 he was 21. (He looked like Brad Pitt in the movie Legends of the Fall (he still looks like Brad Pitt).) He ended up not going back home for 2 years and only then to just pick up some of his things. We married in 2003.
Our divorce will be final this year.
All of these stories give me hope that one day, I will find love again!
