My Male Sneakers lifts his leg 100% of the time, and tries to shoot it as high up on whatever as he can. The "hi up" part is his attempt to disseminate his male scent better.
My Female Becca will squat but lift one of her hind legs a little. I think that's an issue where she doesn't want to get any more feet wet than necessary.
My Male Puppy Ichabod is still observing these procedures, but mainly focused on improving his ability to crawl over the gates to the areas of the house where I have carpet.
My Male Sneakers doesn't like to wear clothing, but tolerates Rain Gear. If I dress Becca, Sneakers pulls her clothes off the first chance he gets.
I can't imagine where he learned that.
