Default Kidney failure in my 9y/o yorkie

Hi, my name is Shawn and I found this forum from frantically searching the Internet for information about kidney failure in Yorkies. My baby was vomiting a few days ago and barely eating. So, finally I took her to the vet, blood test was given and he informed me that her kidneys are in pretty bad shape. She is on the iv drip and her numbers didn't go down as allow as the vet would of liked them to, after the first 24 hours. I will be going to see her in the morning to see how things are going. I'm a nervous wreck at the moment because the vet is making it sound like I should put my baby to sleep. Every time I think about it, I start crying hysterically! I've had her since she was a puppy and she's my companion, I can't imagine having to say good bye to her. I'm open to any suggestions from anyone who has been through this, I'm willing to try anything. Her numbers were very high, her creatinine was at a 10.7 and has come down to a 8.1 I can't remember the other numbers, I just remember the vet saying that this number was extremely high.
