You must be very close to your vet school. I'm about 50 mins away from Michigan State Vet School and they don't fix any of the animals at our humane society or county shelter.

So, the quality that you get probably depends on where you're at.
Yes, I guess I take it for granted sometimes. I personally load up the dogs and kitties and drive them in a huge van to the school. It's about a 20 minute drive. We are lucky to be located so close to such a great vet school!

I can't tell you the number of times I've had to pick up a 50 lb dog and carry it up three sets of stairs because the poor things have never been taken for a walk once in their life and have no clue what a leash is
