Now we know why the other adoptions didn't work out. It was meant to be for you and Kelley to get Jack and be his parents so that you could do what is necessary for him! I will be rooting for Jack with his surgery, and also for you two for being such wonderful people and doing the right thing for him.
It's a dirty shame the rescue people didn't feel confident enough to be honest with you. I'm thinking you might just have gone ahead and adopted him knowing his problem and being willing to get it fixed. Hugs to Jack and Eddie and props to you and Kelly.
