You had an opportunity to take the high road here; I'm sorry to see you didn't take it. It would've been great to just see a genuine Thank You to those who helped, if you really meant it. I may be the odd one out, but when I see someone denigrate others and then say 'btw, thank you' - the meanness pretty much cancels out the potential sincerity of the thank you.
Hope everything works out well for you and your puppies. I hope you have the courage to stick around, open your mind, and see possibilities.
