Oh, Kim, just seeing this now. I am so sorry for your loss.
Lucy was a precious girl...she was soooo lucky to have found you and your husband. No, we are never ready...it is awful...but the comfort we have is that we know they are at peace. I always post the following after a death..it is one of my favorite sayings and it is so true:
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
In time, it will get easier, but she will never leave you. You are in my thoughts and I will pray for you....
