Talked to my vet today concerning spaying my Yorkie and was told they now are suggesting not spaying or neutering your dog until they are about a year old. Would love to hear anyone's views on this. My girl is almost 5 months and just 2.4 lb. so I'm comfortable waiting until she is bigger. But I'm just surprised at the drastic change in protocol.
