I was told that the formula is still the same but that they had changed the processing of the food. Because of the amount of phone calls they have received they have already gone back to the old methods and future cans of Grammy's Pot Pie will be just like chicken pot pie. |
Wow, I could not believe it when I read this. I was just about to post about some merricks that I had bought the other day. Well, I opened a can of the wingalings and it was definately NOT wingalings in the can. It looked the all beef...very dark...no veggies and definately NO chicken. So for the heck of it I opened another can of wingalings and it was the consistancy of when you open a can of cambells chicken noodle soup. so I put both in seperate tupperware bowls and brought them back to where I bought them. The girl was as shocked as I was and opened up a can from her shelf and found the same thing as the first can I opened. Then she opened a can from a new case and it seemed ok. It looked normal. I was still apprehensive to give it to my babies though...but after smelling it (it smelled ok) I gave them some ....they ate it but not as enthusiastically as usual. I was also aprehensive about the wingaling bones but they are so soft that I mush them up with a spoon or fork so they are not bones anymore.
