If you were a standard passenger you could by a pass for your dog. If I was you prior to the flight I would just call the airlines directly and see if you could do that, just give them your reservation number and see. I feel for what you must be going through because I know I would be besides myself, if you are forced to go the cargo route you should get tranq. for the dogs but be sure to try them out at home during the day well in advance of you travel date. I read that Hawaii quarantines dogs, will that be the case for you.
Thanks for giving the info about being able to check on them!! That eases my mind a little and being able to take them out on the layover!! And good thinking withthe tranq I will ask the vet about that!
