Nena is 9 months and 5.4lbs. I took her to the vet today because her gums are red and swollen. Also she has been scratching a lot and I figured she might has allergies. The vet gave her an antibiotic shot and a cortisone for itching. Antibiotics for 10 days. Also gave Nena Temaril-P. She needs to have her baby teeth extracted. I want to spay her and have her baby teeth done at the same time. My concern is should I wait till I finish her the meds she is on now to set a date for spaying. Actually her being on antibiotics would fine. My Vet always gives antibiotics after any surgery. Where the problem may lie is the Temaril-P as that is a steroid. Usually they wait until at least 10 day's after steroids are finished to do any surgery. Sorry I'm trying to remember it all from I was Vet Tech, it's been over 7 yrs since I worked ,and I know things change yearly in the medical field.
