Aww I'm sorry to hear this I know exactly how you feel. My vet too suggested surgery. I've been thinking about it but haven't decided whether or not to have the surgery yet since he doesn't seem to be in pain. I've also been confused about why my vet would suggest surgery when usually its only grade 3 and 4 who normally get the procedure done. You might wanna start your pup on a joint supplement, that can help with his LP. Other yorkietalkers were great and suggested Cosequin, I've been giving it to Valentino(who also just turned 1 on Dec) for a couple of weeks now. This won't reverse the LP but can possibly prevent it from becoming worse. Do you plan on going ahead with the surgery? |
