I can’t really say which one would be more of a lap dog- however my Yorkie Peanut is always near me- he has like 10 beds around the house and he picks laying on me- he is always in the room I am in. He is a male, I heard males can be more “loving” than females, but I have seen really loving female Yorkies- so it really comes down to the personality of the dog in general.
I would pick a Yorkie just because there is nothing like them!
