I don't know how you feel about this idea...but, what if you put together a little "Congrats on your new puppy!" gift bag...get some cheap little toys, safe little treats (maybe the edible kind, like training treats so he gets a little nutrition treat), and then put in some Nutrical too...and whatever else might help the little one. If you're kind of close to the guy, a little gift wouldn't be weird. If you're not close to him...then ya kinda have to think about it, I suppose.
