I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I had some magic words to take away your pain, but only time will do that.

I will say this: You get it. All any of us can do is to love our dogs while we have them. None of us knows what the future holds, so we need to love them every day as if it's their last. Your family obviously did that for 22 magical months. You made the last years of Lucy's the best years of her life, and she surely brought the same happiness to your life.

You will find a way to deal with the pain, and when you do you'll be rewarded by all the wonderful memories that Lucy gave you.
