As for not buying on sites like Craigslist, well if you're wanting a pure bred all paper yorkie, then sure only purchase from a reputable breeder. Then you know what you're getting. But if you're just wanting a friend and family member with the characteristics of a yorkie, there are plenty of places to consider. As with anything in life, you pay your money and take your chances. |
With good breeders who do the health testing and genetic testing you have a much better chance of a healthy puppy rather the jo blow on the street who put two yorkies together and got puppies and is selling them on craigslist for some extra money.
