I know that you know it is incredibly early to take a yorkie away from it's mom. Mine are still nursing a good portion of the time at that age. That being said....at about 5 weeks I do introduce food. I feed raw and also I grind up kibble and add warm water to it. In your case, I think I would use goats milk instead of water. After a couple weeks of that, I use a meat tenderizer and just break up the doggie kibble and feed that. At probably about 10 weeks, I go ahead and leave out the full sized (tiny puppy) kibble. Mine do good with that. I would also be extra conscious of socializing your puppy in all types of situations, with people other dogs etc. I recommend reading the book "The breeders guide to raising superstar puppies" by Jerry Hope. Even though I know you are not breeding, it's got alot of great tips about raising puppies up until about 12 weeks of age. Good luck! Puppies are a lot of work but I also find it very fulfilling!
