My phone was taken to the office and no less than 5 people are now copying his gate idea!!!
One lady called her husband at home sending him the link and another guy said he now knows what project he'll be building for his wife at home since she asked him to build her something for her birthday next month!!
Wow, that's awesome! Good luck on your gate. I should have him write out what he did, but it's just a frame with some slats on the front. I do believe he glued the slats on. Then he anchored a board to the wall to support the gate, attached it and added a hinge. We recently did a deck project in our back yard, so he built a similar gate from the garage to the back yard. When working outside, we like to have all our doors open. This way he can be working in the garage, and the girls can sit and watch, and it matches the rest of the deck structure.
