I guess no one knows how dearly I hold vets close to my heart for pulling my babies and my rescues through the worst of horrors, often staying up all night to do it, but I'll say that any vet that sees a dehydrated tiny Yorkie that young and sends it home after only some SubQ fluid and on antibiotic, would at least tell the owner that if that baby is not fine and acting pretty normal within 6 hours and by that I mean taking fluids and some food, peeing/pottying, OR get the baby into an ER vet ASAP, might not have been on his best game at that visit. And I know vets are so often accused of over-testing, over-treating and easy admitting for expensive treatment, they are probably gun-shy at times. But it just seems the vet didn't properly assess the situation with the new owners and properly care for that baby or instruct the new owners in what to do IF the little one didn't bounce back fairly quickly.
