For a young pup having a vet visit and a shot is stressful, then to be picked up by strangers and go to a strange home that is a heap more stress. For a Yorkie this young to let them go. 12 weeks you will read here a lot and it is what the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America recommends, and 2 lbs.

I am curious when you brought the pup in to the vet on the Friday(?) what was her weight?

I would highly recommend a vet visit with a new pup with-in 24 to 36 hrs of bringing them home; and if they were not eating/drinking and vomiting an earlier vet visit is in order. And I hope how-ever well respected your breeder is you take your pup in for an immediate wellness check. I have with all the breeders I have purchased pups from.

I too would urge you to try and pursue your legal rights here. It does seem as if FLA has some tough laws. And according to the law you do have an option for a refund. There is some wiggle room as an active pet hobby breeder is one that sells two litters a year / 20 dogs.

Beyond this I offer my condolences for your loss. This is a great site to learn all about Yorkies.
I'm so very sorry for your loss...I would definatley go after this 'breeder' for your money back...keep us posted please.
