When you take him out does he constantly have to "mark" things ie wee up every single lamp post?
If he is doing this he is marking his territory and if the problem is really bad having him neutered will stop this.

If this is not the case when he has wet on the rug do you spray the spot with a cleaner which gets rid of all the scent? as if you don't do this the dog will keep going back to the same spot and weeing.

Well he only seems to be peeing on the rug in the living room and then on the newspaper in the other room. When I walk him he only pees a little so I don't know if this problem is because he has to mark his territory. He isn't neutered yet so that might be part of the problem. When he does have an "accident" I clean it with a cleaner to get rid of the scent. I am also trying to train him to ring a bell to let me know he has to go outside and also to use the potty inside. Let's see what happens.
