 Help!! Yorkie puppy coughing forever!!
We got a yorkie puppy 5 months ago from a rescue group. The litter was rescued from a puppy mill along with the mother. They all came down with kennel cough and my Yogi is still coughing. Does anyone know of a home remedy that may help?? He has been on 4 diff antibiotics, bronchodilator, vet even tried prednisone which helped till he went off it. Specialist in the city wanted to do a tracheal wash but at 4 pounds we were too scared of possible complications. We now give nebulizer treatments 3x daily. He still coughs! Vets ruled out collapsed trach, heart issues, lung worms. At our wits end! Vets say in such a young pup cough could stay for a long time but I think he suffers and needs relief! Robitussin DM doesn't seem to help. Thanks for any replies |
