There are many rescues that allow you to adopt and work. The one I am working with right now gives preference to previous Yorkie experience and a fenced in yard, but everyone is considered.
I would definitely keep looking thru a rescue. They ARE homeless and could use your help. Breeder's dogs are not homeless. If you want the name of some Yorkie rescues, PM me and I'll be happy to pass along the information.
