After coming home from 2 month long training (I'm in the military), I discovered that the women watching my 9 almost 10 month old Female yorkie is now pregnant! It was her first heat. Some info on her: she is a bigger yorkie (9-10lbs) is very healthy and she isn't puppy like at all. Well behaved.The father whom also is a yorkie is 2 years old (he is not mines) and he is smaller like 4.5-6 lbs,but he also is healthy and both are UTD on shots. In no way I'm a breeder but I have had a litter of puppies (5 years ago with a westie) and I don't want to emergency spay her. But is this a death sentence if I don't!? I want to do what's best but I can't see aborting the puppies as the best way either. I can afford a c section but I'm completely conflicted on what to do! Has anyone gone through this? Did it turn out ok? If we can just get through this she will be fixed but what are my chances of getting through this?
