Della is 6 months old. I am at my wits end. Our 1 1/2 acre yard is not fenced. We have always carried her out on a leash. Ocassionly she has slipped out and I have been able to rattle her treat box and she will come running to me. Twice yesterday she ran out past my husband and it was like she was crazy running and running ignoring us completely. This continued for at least 15 minutes. Both times a neighbor came by called her and she come running to her. She loves people. Inside the house she will come when i call her and I have always rewarded her. I fear for her safety. I have even thought of some kind of electronic collar and invisible fence. We are senior citizens and may have to give her to someone. Any suggestions? Will obedience training help? |
