I wish I could give you a big hug. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but unfortunately it is a familiar story. I almost lost my Adie the day after I got her. It was the 4th of July and no vet was open. She would just lay around and moan if I picked her up. I was urged by several members here to take her to the emergency vet because she was only 7 weeks old, from a byb, and efforts to treat her for hypoglycemia weren't working. By the time I got her in she was pooping and vomiting blood. The day before she had been tearing around the house climbing (yes climbing) up the back of the couch and terrorizing my shepherd and shih tzu. She went down that fast. Long story short she had a virus that three vets couldn't identify but did know how to treat. $2000.00 and week later she was doing well and back to being a normal puppy.
That week was horrible. I loved her so much right off the bat it was unbelievable so I know how you feel. I would have been so devastated if I lost her.
I'm glad the breeder will give you your money back because there is another little girl or boy out there waiting for you when you are ready. Stay on here and make friends. The support you get will be invaluable. |
