Its probably going to take time and he will learn what they like a don't like and stuff. I would just make sure that the pup is not with them when you can not watch in case they get a little to rough with him. And make sure hes not getting to rough with them puppy teeth hurt. We took Callie to be around my aunts new puppy and before I knew it Callie had little red marks all over her from the pup and she never did anything.
