I bought the same booties for my pups. They definitely stay on. They're very easy to get on & off as well. I love them! I'm not sure if they're technically waterproof, but my pups have been out in the slush wearing them & their paws did stay dry. Best part...I think they're more comfortable to wear. I don't notice my pups walking in that funny jump way that they typically do with shoes on. Second best part...they come 5 to a pack
