Jackson is the same. He NEEDS something to chew on at least two-three nights a week. Or he'll drive me crazy. That vet dentist told me the same thing... but I asked her specifically about bully sticks, and she said they should be fine. She warned me against hard nylabones and antlers. I think we waited a week or two before giving him anything though. His mouth was definitely sore the first week.

He gets a 'Get Naked' chew at night every night (but they last him all of 2 mins, LOL). But they're similar to Dentastix except a bit harder, and healthier. He loves them. But they are not a keep busy chew at all. Just a nightly snack.
