She will be taking these pills probably for the rest of her life so I have to find a method that will work. Its for her liver shunts. Since surgery is not a option at least right now, (she's almost 13), the vet put her on lactulose, metronindacyl (sp?) and prescription hill L/D and of course periodic bile acid test. The biggest improvement I've see is no more recurring urinary tract infections.
I'm am keeping my fingers crossed that she lives a long life as I know liver shunts can go either way. |
So glad you found a way to do it, thank goodness, medication can give them many more years of quality life, you sound like a great yorkie mama!
