I tried to train Huey using positive reinforcemen; for example, he gets panties out of the laundry hamper. Instead of yelling at him and trying to retrieve then, I did as Victoria Stillwell said & traded for them. Over the years, this has snowballed into "hmmm, I want a treat, lets get into something". Now, Huey will get something he isn't supposed to have so he can get a treat in return. BACKFIRE!!! He is so savvy about it, if you don't notice he has something, he will make it obvious, like tossing a dime into the air & letting it clatter onto the hardwood, looking at you to see if you noticed, then trade for treat or repeat process until treat has been received. What a little schemer!!! Anyone else run into this?
