Yes, we've had several, you can make something, buy something, give a gift certificate to a vendor, or anything else you can think of. Then admin sold raffle tickets, and I think they were around 5 bucks apiece, so even newbies could be part of the fun. Occasionally, there was someone who made a gift basket that we all wanted!
