Well we talked to the dental vet and said she would call the tooth she broke the most important tooth in the mouth besides the K-9 tooth and that if xrays show she is a good candidate for her that the root canal is the best thing. They have a great anesthesia protocol and even let her keep her sweater on until it was time for her procedure and put it back on her after. I felt very comfortable leaving her there and we went to petsmart then over to the huge mall and I ate a few bites of everything because of worrying then we went to the Cheesecake factory and then got the call we could pick her up and went and got her. She said I was doing a great job keeping her clean and they could only see some tarter under a special light. She also said Callie is missing a few teeth genetically like in the front she should have 6 teeth and Callie only has 5 but she said it works out because there is not room for 6 then her way back teeth the last one on the bottom on each side of her mouth are both not there but she said again it works well because they would not have fit and then there is one on the side of her mouth behind her k-9 tooth that we knew was not there. The vet dentist says the best chews are ones you can bend and put an indent with your finger nail in but she said she gives her dogs rawhides. I am so very glad she never liked the antlers and Himalayan chews because you very much can not bend them or put an indent in them. Softened food for three days then she can go back to her regular non softened dog food. Antibiotics and pain pills as well.
Woohoo! Great news! Funny, they told me Jackson was also missing some teeth genetically too. She also told me about chews that you can indent with your finger nail.

And Jackson LOVED eating soft food only for a few days.

So what did they do today? A root canal?

Btw, love our mall And that Cheesecake Factory is amazing!
