I know you have been trying to write in a kinder fashion and I think you've been doing a good job. Sometimes people think others (especially women) should just be polite; we should not vocalize an opinion especially a controversial opinion. They think that we should just live and let others live, and we should never “judge” what others are saying or doing. If you have strong opinions on things, you will upset others, just try and give your opinion as respectfully as you know how, but even then (as you know) some will still criticize you and call you names because they want to quite you down. They don’t like your opinion, but don’t know how to argue the other side, so they will try to quite you in other ways. Others are just uncomfortable with conflict in any form and will do whatever they can to stop it.
