Good day, no question is from ignorance, this is how we all learn. Yorkies are picked up that way gently, to avoid an arch in the back if picked up in the middle. All showing a yorkie pick up them this way and it does not hurt them and is safer way to pick them up. It also prevents from messing up the coat on them as we all work hard grooming getting them to look perfect.
You show find a show near you and go, you would love seeing all the gorgeous yorkie in the ring.
