Go to the drug store and get some mineral oil. When I got Mandie spayed, she wouldn't go either...or rather, when she did go..she was very constipated and even shook from the pain of trying.

Someone suggested fiber (the green beans and/or carrot sticks are good for that, as mentioned above). But someone else suggested mineral oil to me. Just put a little bit on some mashed up sweet potato. Also, rug a little bit on her bum. After doing this for Mandie, she pooped the next morning and then no problems after that. I did give her one more serving of it for breakfast, though..just to be sure everything was moving well.

ETA: I just re-read your post about the anal gland discharge. If you try the suggestions here and they don't work by tomorrow, take her into the vet again. If she has an infection, they'll need to treat that.
