Actually, it isn't true that just because the vet says it’s okay, it's okay. Vets don't always have breed specific knowledge, and experts in the breed say it isn't okay. For all we know, the vet wanted the tiny to get pregnant so he could perform a cesarean, the average vet is not a repo specialist and when they say your dog can get pregnant, they just mean that she has a uterus, they don’t mean that she healthy or she doesn’t have genetic problems. Being pregnant is hard on any dog, but on a tiny, it can be very dangerous and really bad for their joints.
For the record, I don't believe I talked "crap" to her either.
