 Mitsi wont potty after spay and the vet is closed??
Okay so I had Mitsi spayed Thursday and it went well no problems. Shes doing good now, no pain and Her stitches look great and Shes eating but now She will not poop! She was pooping a little, small stringy amounts 2 days ago but now nothing, She just sits there in the position to go but wont go. Ive walked Her Ive stood in the yard with Her for a while and still nothing. I called the vet and He recomened I get Her anal glands checked, they were full and on one side the discharge was yellow ( the vet said to wait and see if that changed if not to put Her on antibiotics). So I brought Her Home, and still no poop. Shes eating like a little piggy so I know theres something in there. But I dont know what to do, My vet is closed for new Years eve so I dont have anyone to call about it. Shes just laying around, but just acts tired not sick. also I have been giving Her canned food because She had to take pain meds and wouldnt swallow it by itself. but now I have been mixing a tiny amount of canned with dry to get Her back to Her normal diet. thanks everyone for reading.
