I stand all of them on their back legs up against my legs to rinse off their undersides, but their parts down their back stay intact until they start a'fwippin'n'a'fwoppin'n'a'plowin' after the shower is over waiting for the dryer to start blowing.
Here are 'coat' photos of (golden) Mia and (Shih Tzu) Sunny...both of whom got bathed 12/30/12. |
I used to bathe my dogs in the bath tub (but not with me) Can't do that kind of bending over anymore. I bathe Gracie in the kitchen sink with a spray attachment I purchased that is particularlly for dogs. It has 3 different spray settings and does a wonderful quick job of rinsing. I don't have to do any bending over so it works out just fine for both of us. Someone once made a remark about bathing dogs in a sink as though it was some kind of disgusting thing to do, as though there is no way to clean a sink out after bathing a dog in it. I would think that a bath tub would need to be cleaned out after a dog bath as well. I always clean them both after use anyway.
