I think you said you were an attorney so you can imagine how I obsessively researched yorkie breeders before deciding on Deb Sillers of Amazing Yorkies. Ms. Sillers' concerned response to your crisis confirmed to me what I had already sensed about her. Karen is so excited she can't stand it. I know you will feel this way too when the time comes. Our Dixie led a long (and pampered) life so the loss was somewhat easier for us. But we still miss her greatly. |
Wow, thanks so much for your message. I am sorry for your loss also. Today was a rough day because I received Tinkerbell's necropsy report in the mail. Although I had already received a verbal report from the vet, to see it in writing was devastating. Well, what a small world - it's great that you are getting your baby from Deb Sillers. You are correct - I am an attorney and I was on the internet doing research for months before I finally selected Deb Sillers. Her puppies were precious and her lifetime guarantee is what did it for me. She wasn't hungry for money, she was more concerned about what type of owner I would be. She even told me not to take the baby to the vet until after a week or two after I got her, so that she would have time to adjust. (As you know, most breeders give you a 72-hour window). I have to say, she has been absolutely wonderful - caring, concerned and just so supportive. Deb offered to get me a new pup without question or hesitation. She stayed on the phone and listened at all hours of the day and night while I cried and cried like a baby. Unbeknownst to me, she even called my husband to periodically check on how I was doing. She told him she had a litter in December and that she would send me pictures when I was ready. My husband later told me about this and I wrote to Deb and told her that I wasn't ready yet. She said it was ok, and that she understood. Well, just the other day I emailed her and asked her to send pics. Gosh, she sent me pics of 3 of the most precious baby girls!! Even though I am still grieving, seeing those pics certainly brought a smile to my face. I believe you have made a great decision by selecting Deb Sillers. She is, in my opinion, an honorable and caring breeder. I have taken the advice of my YT friends and have decided that even though Tinkerbell will always be in my heart, another fur baby will bring a new brightness into our home. So, sometime in March, I will be flying from Philadelphia to Missouri to pick up my new baby personally! Please let me know how you make out this week with your new baby. You can certainly tell Deb that we have "talked" and that I highly recommend her. I will send you a PM with my phone number (or I can call you) because I want to hear all about Siller's Farms!!
