My guys bark frequently, but I encourage that. They have "jobs" sorta, keeping an eye on the property, and are praised generously when they alarm for a legitimate reason. My new pup Ichabod has just started participating in the vocalizations. He's not exactly sure what he's barking at now, but, he'll catch on soon.
