I did find a few breeders, but none of them had any at this time. They said in 2013 possibly. I ended up getting mine from a kennel. Can you get the paperwork started on the quarantine for your yorkie and then have her come out here 6 months later..or..if you live on base in Yokota, you're allowed to have them finish out the quarantine in your home...Her staying in the kennel here for 6 months is bad, and would be harsh to her health for sure, I wouldn't do that, but if you're living on base, maybe that's a loop hole?
I understand you don't want to make her miserable, but you leaving her will probably make her just as miserable. That's my opinion. It hurts my heart to hear of people leaving their dogs behind, just being honest.

I can't help but be curious on your post.."I would love to have 'another' Yorkie once we get settled"...so what, your other one is replaceable? I am only trying to understand.
